I am thrilled to announce my new collection of satirical short fiction is NOW availble. As some of you know, my short story "A Fire for Christmas" has made its rounds over the last few years. An iconoclastic, irreverent take on the "child wishing for just one toy this Christmas" trope, "Fire" was inspired by real-life events I shudder to mention, even in my forties. During the summer lockdowns of 2020, I had the notion of expanding on the story and creating a collection of satirical Christmas stories. Well, that collection became a novel in stories featuring two pandemic-caged writers as they try to rekindle a romance that had just blossomed prior to COVID's arrival in the States. While the book retains the title A Fire for Christmas, you'll find 300 pages of content, including a sneak peek of Pirates of Appalachia.

You can read more about Jeffrey and Lourdes on the book's landing page here. Oh, and while you're there check out the first of many cinematic teasers. This one was inspired by "Dungeons and Santa," one of the many original works in the book. Check it out, comment, tell your friends, have a cocktail--much, much more is coming in the near future as I continue to explore all possible storytelling avenues.
